У Сполучених Штатах завершилися драматичні виборчі перегони. Але ще більш драматичними і складними є внутрішні і зовнішні виклики перед новообраним 45-тим Президентом. Бажаю Дональду Трампу успіху у цій місії. Сполучені Штати – не лише провідна економіка планети, але й лідер вільного світу. Дуже важливо, щоб новий Президент США зміцнив цю роль і не допустив найменшого розколу між союзниками. Україна розраховує, що нова американська адміністрація продовжить розвиток нашого стратегічного партнерства, зберігатиме відданість фундаментальним принципам міжнародних відносин, протистоятиме російській агресії, не визнаватиме анексії Криму, продовжить курс санкційного тиску проти Кремля і твердо стоятиме разом з нами на захисті територіальної цілісності і суверенітету України. У цьому ми також покладаємося на єдність провідних політичних сил Сполучених Штатів і незмінну підтримку нашої держави з боку республіканського і демократичного таборів. У час складних випробувань діймо разом, впевнено і гідно.

The dramatic election campaign in the United States is now over but even more dramatic and perhaps difficult are the internal and external challenges before the newly elected 45th President. I wish Donald Trump success in his mission. The United States is not only the world’s leading economy, but also the leader of the free world. It’s important for the new President to strengthen this role and to prevent even the slightest rift between the allies. We expect the new US administration to continue to develop our strategic partnership in maintaining its commitment to the fundamental principles of international relations and international law, countering Russian aggression, not recognizing the annexation of Crimea, continuing the course of sanctions against the Kremlin and standing with us in defending the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Ukraine strongly relies on unity with the leading political forces of the United States and the continued support of our country by the Republican and Democratic parties. In these difficult and challenging times action with dignity, integrity and confidence is essential.
